Every Child Deserves Protection
Sexual exploitation of children is one of the most heinous crimes in the world today.
- The Philippines is the global epicentre of OSAEC (Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children)
- 80% of children in the Philippines are vulnerable to being victims of online sexual abuse or bullying
- 2.5% of children in the Philippines have had their nude bodies or sexual activities shown online
World Hope International has been responding to this crisis since 2018.
- Poverty makes children vulnerable.
- Education is the best way to escape poverty.
- Please help us protect and educate Filipino children.
Imagine a world where every child lives in safety, has access to clean water, nutritious food, lives in peace, and receives an education…
Could it be any better?
At the global level, education is the key to eliminating gender inequality, to reducing poverty, to creating a sustainable planet, to preventing needless deaths and illness, and to fostering peace. Education is an investment in the future, perhaps the most critical investment we can make.
At the local level education plays a vital role in creating and maintaining a healthy and successful life, providing people with the skills they need to overcome poverty; protect themselves from injustices and disease; and live lives of freedom and opportunity. Educated citizens are citizens who are empowered to act as advocates for economic and social change. An educated population promotes a better-educated nation and an improved social structure.
However, there are many barriers that stand in the way, from the lack of nearby clean water or sanitary facilities to not enough money for textbooks, supplies, or uniforms—and much more. At World Hope we work to protect and educate children – we believe this is foundational to a healthy and successful life.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world“
~ Nelson Mandela
